Heavy user of computer and internet are more likely to confuse their communication distance among others.
If you type more than you move your mouth, if you spend late nights in talking to someone online even who you have never met in person rather than your partner(s), family, friends, colleagues, etc, if you reckon the software you wrote could solve every single problems in the world, if the top of your shopping list are all gadgets; you might be able to be defined as a technology maniac.
Our team has a real person meeting this morning. AFAIK there are fewer than 5 such meetings during 2 years in this company. Team member who located in this office grew from 2 (my ex-manager and me) to now 5. However, we used to carry out weekly meetings by IRC. IRC was once tried during my year 10 as MS Chat.
Another meeting soon with all team members around the Asia Pacific. This time teleconferencing. Generally, virtual team has geophysical limitation among members, but sometimes psychological distance would be even more serious between two members who are sitting each other.
