Attended the company provided DiSC® Training on Friday morning. It explained 4 typical types of human behaviour, figure out own type and others and how to communicate among such types.
The only thing I would point out is that there is no one who stands at extreme of either type. i.e. There are D+S / D+i / i+C / D+C / S+C population. The situation may be complicated deeper if someone has unstable type who changes randomly anytime. Of course I do not have ant rights to doubt when the researchers claimed that large amount of samples are surveyed versus my statement which without any evidence to prove.
As one of the attended colleague commented to me, "The most important goal is to figure out which type your supervisor is, and let him recognize an equal sign between your name and the word 'performance'." Hmm, that should be something precisely expressed what I tried to say.
P.S. I'm a 'C' type! Only communication protocol with "facts" will be accepted. Action requests without our analysis as right, decision consequence responsibility must still be held by requester.
