2 new housemates moved into my house on last SAT. There was an extraordinary action done by one of them during dinner last night...
=====
Today attended "Taking Charge" training provided by the company. The highlight was the role play at the end, which we simulated a team member who was requesting for pay raise from her team leader.
The person who acted as team leader has done so excellent. He managed the conversation professionally and wisely. Neither side pissed off at the end. Therefore, I circled both "yes" and "no" as the answer of "Is the problem resolved?".
Why is that? "Yes" means the team member is calmed will wait for the team leader getting back with results of negotiations with HR. "No" means she will probably still very likely to quit if nothing significant that could hold her.
Sadly, when topic comes to money figure, intangible considerations factors would be at minimal. It is just an "uncertainty vs. opportunity" decision.
You stand on the ship deck of current company, only bling bling money becomes the best lighthouse if your career journey is heavily fogged.
